E-Commerce
Business%20Meeting.jpg

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development defines e-commerce as "commercial transactions occurring over open networks, such as the Internet. Both business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions are included” (OECD, 2003). E-Commerce is short for Electronic Commerce and can be defined simply as ‘doing business electronically’. While it is often used in relation to the Internet, it also encompasses business transactions or interaction by any electronic means, including the telephone and fax (Dunt, 2002).
