The Manufacturer Direct business model is used by a company which makes a product and wishes to directly reach members of the public. The resulting transaction can be a direct sale, lease or licensing arrangement. A company using this direct method narrows the distribution chain (theoretically reducing costs) and maintains greater control over its branding.
